A centrifugal pump taken apart along its shaft: motor, fan cover, coupling, bearing bracket, shaft, seal, impeller, casing and flange float in a line in a dark studio, a fine coral line through the centre of every part.

Industrial sales

The quote desk that runs overnight.

Our agents read each request for quote with its drawings. They configure the product in your ERP and CPQ, check that your factory can build it and price it under your margin rules. A request that arrives at night is ready to send by morning.

Overnight

A 64-page request, configured and priced while your office is dark.

A hairline drawing of a process pump exploded along its shaft on a dark drawing sheet. Each part is tagged with its stock date, the discharge flange is drawn in coral, and the pump's rules are written as code in the notes block.
  1. 18:40

    Reading

A request arrives for a process pump: 64 pages of specification and 11 drawing sheets.

  2. 21:10

    Configured

All 214 parts are checked in your ERP, each in stock or with a delivery date.

  3. 02:30

    Buildable

At 120 °C a PN25 flange cannot hold 25 bar. Your engineering rules move it to PN40.

  4. 04:50

    Priced

Your price book, volume tier and freight terms set the price. It clears your sales lead's margin floor.

  5. 06:00

    Ready to send

Every line of the quote points to the page of the request it answers.

  6. Thursday 11:15

    Rerun

Engineering releases revision C of the impeller. The lines that use it rerun before the customer sees the old price.

  7. 21 November

    Repriced

The customer buys in dollars. The exchange rate locked at intake expires before the quote does, so the quote reprices on a fresh rate.

Notes: rules/pumps.py

  1. if flange.rated_at(design.temp) < design.pressure: flange.rating = next_rating(flange.rating)
  2. if site.zone == "ATEX 2": motor.protection = "Ex ec"
  3. if quote.margin < floor(customer.segment): quote.reprice(to=floor(customer.segment))
  4. for quote in open_quotes.using(release.part): quote.rerun(lines=release.touches)
  5. if rate.expires < quote.valid_until: quote.reprice(before=rate.expires)
What else the desk reads
  • Requests arrive by email, customer portal or CRM form, as PDF, spreadsheet or drawing package. Each requirement is traced to its page and sheet.
  • Drawings are read to the title block: dimensions, materials and tolerances set the configuration.
  • The compliance appendix is answered clause by clause from the answers your quality team has released.
  • Lead times come from available-to-promise in your ERP, so the date in the quote is a date your plant can meet.
  • When the customer sends revision B of the request, only the changed clauses rerun, and the quote comes back with the difference set out.

Discounts

No quote waits for a discount approval.

  • Your sales lead sets margin floors and discount limits as rules, per segment and customer. Every quote is priced inside them.
  • Sales engineers can open, rerun or correct any quote. Each correction is tested on this year's quotes, then every agent uses it.
A frosted steel pipe and flange in a dark climate chamber. Flat coral heat-trace ribbons wound round the pipe have melted the frost back to bare metal beside them.

Limits

Outside your tested range, the quote states the gap and offers what you can build.

The customer asks for minus 40 °C and your pumps are tested to minus 25. The quote prices the nearest variant you build, heated and insulated, and lists the deviation.

Other limits the desk keeps
  • No lead time goes into a quote unless your ERP shows it.
  • No quote goes out on an expired currency rate or an unreleased part revision.
  • Compliance questions without a released answer are listed as clarifications in the quote.
  • When a customer asks for payment or liability terms outside your rules, the quote offers your standard terms and sets out the difference.

  2. Gate

Each agent has its own identity. It reads your ERP and PLM and writes quotes.

  3. Your infrastructure

Your data centre or Marbell Cloud in Switzerland, under your keys.

  4. Fleet

Lanes by product family, as many agents as the night's requests need.

For your engineers
  • Operating Code is your best sales engineer's know-how written as code: configuration rules become if statements, the pass through a request becomes a while loop, revisions and rates become typed variables, and margin floors become tests. It grew out of the recursive self-improvement harness our own persistent agents run on.
  • Money carries its currency. Adding euros to dollars fails at the type, so no line is summed across currencies. Every rate is pinned with its source and expiry date.
  • Each quote is bound to the revision of every part it was configured with. A release in your PLM reruns the open quotes that use the part.
  • Our agents drive your CPQ through its API for the configurations it covers and writes structured lines back to the CRM quote beside the PDF.
  • A rule change ships when it passes on every quote you sent this year, at the speed the tests run. Your team can rerun any quote under any release.
  • Customer names and contacts are removed before text reaches a model, and model calls keep no data.

Systems

You keep your CPQ. Our agents drive it through its API and build the quotes it cannot price.

Turning accepted quotes into orders in your ERP is the next lane on the same agents.

The same pump assembled on its baseplate, seen from the suction side in a dark studio, a thin coral gasket ring on the suction flange.

Start with the product family that quotes the slowest.

We run last quarter's requests through the desk beside your team's quotes. Then it runs live for a quarter, paid against the number you pick: turnaround time, quotes sent unchanged or engineering hours saved.
